There are some moments in our lives when we just want to relax in some corner of a room and be alone without any disturbances. Those moments can be very stressful and we need some place where we can just sit, be alone and let that moment pass. Even when there are no signs of stress, you may just want to relax for a bit without someone around, a little me time. Creating a separate space is ideal for such a purpose.
According to psychologists, there are some moments when no one can help you get over the situation. It’s up to you to take out time from the regular busy life to unwind. There is no better way to do that except in the comforts of your home. Experts emphasize that by setting up a place in your home where you can relax a bit, will give you the time you need during stressful moments. For some, finding a spot in the house is very limited, as others, may have entire rooms available. Whatever your situation, space doesn’t need to be large. You could use a bath towel, yoga mat, lounge chair, etc. to create your space. You can pick it up and put it away, but make sure you put it back in the same location. Remember this is your space to get away from it all, if you move it around to different locations in the house, it’ll become just another space in the house. You can make it as simple or fancy as you like, be creative and make your special space fun.

Do you have a room with a view? Do you have space with a babbling brook or fountain? Do you enjoy the scents of essential oils or incense?
